During the selection process, all East Coast Logistics & Security applicants are highly screened and vetted through a rigorous, multi-faceted interview process. We conduct extensive background screenings on all employees. Employment applicant records are reviewed for tardiness, absenteeism, conduct, job performance and reason for separation from previous employment. All applicants must possess a valid Florida security officer Class “D” license and valid State driver’s license and must be at least 18 years of age. All personnel are required to complete the Eligibility Verification Form and Control Act of 1986 and are entitled to work in the United States. All applicants understand, read and write English intelligibly.
East Coast Logistics & Security mandates and administers basic security guard training to every security officer on the following topics:
- Community Relations/Customer Service
- Security Information Technology/Computers
- Patrol Methods
- Report Writing/Court Testimony
- Critical Incident Preparedness/FEMA/DHS
- CPR/First Aid/AED
In addition, our Elite Personal and Executive Security Officers complete specialized training programs focused on you and your unique requirements. The training includes the following modules taught by our certified instruction staff:

- Technology & Electronic Communication Skills
- Managing Stress & Building Relationships
- Safety
- Personal Self-Leadership
East Coast Logistics & Security’s basic training structure exceeds many state-mandated minimum requirements for novice security officers. After the completion of our basic training courses, management hand selects officers and matches them with the post that is best suited to their skill levels. East Coast Logistics & Security recognizes that each client has unique needs and requirements. We provided additional training for security officer on a “case by case” basis to ensure that we meet and exceed every client’s needs. Our officers are continually encouraged to enhance their knowledge through advanced courses and training sessions. Advancement and promotion is offered for only the most dedicated, knowledgeable, and established officers.
